Description

The inhibitory PSAM4-GlyR is a chimeric protein of a modified α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor ligand binding domain fused to the chloride-permeable glycine receptor ion pore domain (GlyR). After intracranial injection and expression of a virus encoding PSAM4-GlyR, application of ultrapotent agonist (e.g., uPSEM792) activates PSAM4-GlyR, which in principle selectively inhibits PSAM4-GlyR-expressing neurons.
