inquiryDescription
hChR2 (H134R) is the most common form of ChR2. h refers to the coding sequence of the gene that has been optimized using human codon tables. H134R refers to the mutation of histidine at position 134 to arginine. This mutation inhibits the effect of ChR2 on H+ The combination of, increases the passing capacity of Na+, thereby increasing the overall conductivity of the molecule, thereby increasing the inward current excited by light. Generally, it is excited with blue light around 470nm.
The hSyn promoter, also called hSyn1 promoter, is cloned from the promoter region of human synapsin1 (Synapsin1), is about 0.5kb in length, and expresses specifically in neurons.
