Description

The Aician Blue-PAS Staining Kit utilizes the properties of Periodic Acid Solution (PAS) and the Aician Blue method to demonstrate the complete complementation of cathepsin. The rationale for this technique is that all acid mucins are first stained with Aician blue, those that are also PAS positive will be chemically blocked and will not react further during the technique. Those neutral mucins that were only PAS-positive were subsequently demonstrated in a comparative manner. The combined results demonstrate acidic and neutral mucins and mixtures of acidic and neutral mucins.
