Glial Cell Marker Related Research Reagents

Non-neuronal cells located in the central or peripheral nervous system are called glial cells. Glial cells provide structural and metabolic support for neurons. They can be roughly divided into large glial cells and small glial cells. There are five main categories of macroglia: astrocytes, myeloid glial cells (including oligodendrocytes (OL) in CNS and Schwann cells in PNS), NG2-glial, ependymal cells and radial glial.
