Microglia are the resident macrophages of the brain and spinal cord. They are the first and main form of active immune defense in the nervous system. The immortalized human microglia-SV40 cell line is derived from the primary human small Glial cells (>99% purity) and maintain the microglial cell markers CD68 and NGF. These cells are suitable for studying the health and disease of human microglial cells.
Expression profile: NGF, Iba1, TREM2, CD11b, CD68
