Product Overview

Description

iNeu™ Glutamatergic Neurons PRKN R275W/R275W are precisely reprogrammed glutamatergic neurons carrying a genetically engineered homozygous mutation in the PRKN gene encoding parkin protein. These cells provide a rapidly maturing, disease-relevant isogenic system for studying the molecular and cellular significance of the homozygous R275W mutation in Parkinson's disease. Related disease model cells with homozygous PRKN R275W mutations are also available, and both can be used with their genetically matched control glutamatergic neurons.

Features

Making real comparisons
Pair disease model cells with genetically matched wild-type glutamatergic neurons to directly study the effects of heterozygous expression of mutant Parkin proteins on disease.

Scalable
Available in industrial-scale quantities, with industry-leading seeding densities, and at an affordable price, cells can be used from research to high-throughput screening.

Fast
Disease model cells and isogenic controls were ready for experiments as early as 2 days after resuscitation and formed structural neuronal networks by 11 days.
