Product Overview

Description

Friedreich's ataxia (FRDA or FA) is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations in the FXN gene on chromosome 9, which produces a protein called frataxin. Creative Biolabs cell lines from Friedreich's ataxia patients and familial and unaffected controls are excellent models for studying this rare genetic disorder that causes progressive neurological damage and motor problems. Creative Biolabs now offers custom human iPSC-derived sensory neurons or cardiomyocytes derived from Friedreich's ataxia patients.
