Product Overview
Description
Microglia are immune cells that reside in the central nervous system (CNS) and are responsible for basic physiological and pathological processes. Microglia support neuronal homeostasis and promote the formation of neuronal networks through synaptic pruning. Surveillance Microglia can activate, adapt and respond to specific stimuli accordingly. Microglia dysfunction is related to neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease, as well as neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Latter's synthesis Signs. The limited availability and inconsistency of primary Human microglia limit research and treatment progress.
iNeu Microglia overcomes the limitations of primary microglia by providing consistent, high-quality microglia derived from Human induced pluripotent stem cells, enabling the study of cytokine signaling, synaptic transmission, and normal CNS functions and Plasticity during disease progression.

Features
Human Relevance
iNeu Microglia exhibit functional characteristics similar to Human microglia, including phagocytosis and cytokine-mediated inflammatory responses, and express relevant microglial markers (TREM2, CX3CR1, TMEM119, P2RY12, IBA1).
Reproducible Research
Rigorous quality control and large-scale manufacturing capabilities ensure consistent performance and reproducible results from every lot of iNeu Microglia.
Rapid Results
iNeu Microglia are shipped cryopreserved and arrive fully differentiated allowing more experiments to be completed in less time.
Disease Models Available
Engineered disease model lines of iNeu Microglia are available for SNCA (A53T), TREM2, and MECP2.
