Product Overview
Description
The antigen KI-67, also known as Ki-67 or MKI67, is a protein encoded by the MKI67 gene in humans (an antigen recognized by the monoclonal antibody Ki-67). Antigen KI-67 is a nuclear protein associated with cell proliferation. Changing the expression level of Ki-67 does not significantly affect cell proliferation in vivo. Ki-67 mutant mice develop normally, and cells lacking Ki-67 proliferate effectively. In addition, it is related to ribosomal RNA transcription. Inactivation of KI-67 antigen leads to inhibition of ribosomal RNA synthesis.
