Mouse Anti-NFkB p50 Monoclonal Antibody (AB004), Unconjugated

Mouse anti-human NFkB p50 antibody recognizes nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p50 subunit, also known as DNA binding factor KBF1, NF-kappabeta, nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p50 subunit or nuclear factor κ-B DNA binding subunit. NFKB1 encodes a 105 kD protein, which can be co-translationally processed by 26S proteasome to produce a 50 kD protein. 105 kD protein is a specific transcription inhibitor of Rel protein, and 50 kD protein is the DNA binding subunit of the NF-κB (NFKB) protein complex. NFKB is a transcriptional regulator that can be activated by various intracellular and extracellular stimuli, such as cytokines, free radicals, ultraviolet radiation, and bacterial or viral products. The activated NFKB translocates into the nucleus and stimulates the expression of genes involved in a variety of biological functions. Inappropriate activation of NFKB is associated with many inflammatory diseases, and continuous inhibition of NFKB can lead to inappropriate immune cell development or cell growth delay. For NFKB1, two transcript variants encoding different isoforms were found.
