Product Overview

Description

The mouse hypothalamic neurons are isolated from the hypothalamus; the hypothalamus, also known as the hypothalamus, is located on the ventral surface of the brain and below the thalamus, and is a higher-level nerve center that regulates visceral and endocrine activities. The hypothalamus can be divided into three parts from front to back, namely anterior (also known as preoptic area and supraoptic area), middle (nodular area) and posterior (mammillary body area). The hypothalamus has many nuclei and fiber bundles, and has close interconnection with other parts of the central nervous system. It not only regulates the secretion and release of anterior and posterior pituitary hormones through nerve and vascular pathways, but also participates in the regulation of the autonomic nervous system, such as controlling water and salt metabolism, regulating body temperature, feeding, sleep, reproduction, visceral activity, and mood. Hypothalamic neurons have extensive synaptic connections with nerve fibers from other parts, can receive many nerve impulses, and are the center of the endocrine and nervous systems. They can regulate the function of the anterior pituitary gland, synthesize neurohypophysis and control the autonomic and autonomic functions. Therefore, it is of great significance to extract hypothalamic neurons for in vitro culture and to establish an in vitro experimental platform for hypothalamic neurons.
