Description
Required for brain and eye development. Promote the decomposition of phosphorylated vimentin intermediate filaments (IF) during mitosis, and may play a role in the transport and distribution of IF protein and other cytokines to daughter cells during progenitor cell division. Necessary for survival, renewal and proliferation of mitogen-stimulated neural progenitor cells. Our Nestin ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative detection of human Nestin in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant. The density of the color is directly proportional to the amount of nestin captured from the sample.
