Product Overview

Description

The neural stem cell basic medium is a serum-free, growth factor-free medium that is optimized for the growth and differentiation of neural stem cells derived from rodents. When used in combination with bFGF or bFGF, EGF and heparin, the basal medium will allow the proliferation of neural stem cells in rats and mice, respectively. Withdrawal of growth factors from the basal medium of neural stem cells will cause spontaneous differentiation of rodent neural stem cells.

Storage

Medium should be stored at -20 °C, until ready to use. After thawing, the medium should be stored at 2-8C, and given a 1-month expiration dating. It is recommended to divide into small portions to avoid repeated heating before each use.

FGF-2 (10 μg, lyophilized) should be reconstituted with 100 μL of 5 mM Tris-HCL, pH 7.6, and the final concentration was 100 μg / mL. Dispense into small portions to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 ° C.
