Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-CACNA1G BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 2052-2172 (cytoplasmic C-terminus) of mouse Cav3.1 (also known as Voltage-gated/dependent T-type calcium channel alpha-1-G subunit, Cacna1g and NBR13, accession number Q9WUT2)
Rat: 96% identity (117/121 amino acids identical)
Human: 80% identity (98/122 amino acids identical)
<30% identity with Cav3.2
