Description

Brain uptake of therapeutic antibodies is severely limited by their size. To achieve enhanced BBB crossing, Creative Biolabs developed a BBB shuttle antibody platform by utilizing the endogenous macromolecule transportation pathway, known as receptor-mediated transcytosis (RMT). The engineered antibody-based carrier is believed to significantly to increase the macromolecule brain entry to combat CNS diseases.

Fig.1 monoclonal anti-S100A9 antibodies bind to the last 10 amino acids (peptide C7) of the C-terminal region of S100A9.

PBS1x, recombinant S100A9, C-terminal and C1 to C7 peptide peptides (50 ng/well) were coated on 96 well plates. 100 μl of the cell culture supernatant of 11 rabbit blocking anti-S100A9 was added to the wells. Binding of monoclonal antibodies was revealed using an HRP-labeled goat anti-rabbit IgG antibody. Both mAbs bind to the C7 peptide.
