Product Overview

Description

NRP-0422-P2275 is an IgM-class monoclonal antibody that stains the fibrillar pathology (dystrophic neurites, neurofibrillary tangles, and neuropil threads) commonly observed in postmortem histological analysis of Alzheimer's disease (AD)1 brain.NR2218P reacts with tau and that its epitope is located at the N terminus (11-13) of human tau.

Excellent
A must-have for tauopathy research
It has provided us with consistent results in both Western blotting and immunofluorescence assays. The antibody's high specificity minimizes background noise, enhancing our data clarity.
user
Excellent
The results have been consistent and reliable
We switched to the antibody, after experiencing issues with other antibodies. The difference was remarkable. The antibody's performance in our ELISA assays has been outstanding, giving us reliable and reproducible data.
user
Excellent
It's definitely worth the investment
The high specificity and low background staining of the antibody, make it an excellent choice for immunohistochemistry. It has significantly improved the quality of our staining, making it easier to interpret our results.
user
Excellent
Highly recommended
After trying multiple tau antibodies, we found the NeuroMab™ Anti-Tau Antibody, Clone NR2218P, to be the most reliable. Its high specificity and sensitivity have made a significant difference in our research on neurodegenerative diseases.
user

The antibody's high specificity is particularly noteworthy
The performance of the antibody in our experiments has been exceptional. The antibody's ability to detect tau protein with high specificity has greatly enhanced our research on tauopathies. It's a top-notch product.
Q&As
What are the recommended dilution ratios for different applications?
For Western blotting, a typical dilution range of 1:1000 to 1:2000 is recommended. For immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, a dilution of 1:200 to 1:500 is suggested, depending on the tissue type and antigen retrieval methods used. It is advisable to optimize the dilution for your specific experimental conditions for best results.
Can this antibody be used for detecting phosphorylated Tau?
Although the antibody primarily targets non-phosphorylated Tau, it does recognize certain phosphorylated forms. However, for specific studies focusing exclusively on phosphorylated Tau, using an antibody specifically designed for phosphorylated epitopes may provide more accurate results. It’s crucial to review experimental requirements before selection.
Are there any known non-specific bindings or cross-reactivities associated with this antibody?
The antibody has been rigorously tested for specificity and is known to have minimal non-specific bindings or cross-reactivities. However, as with any antibody, it is essential to include appropriate controls in your experiments to ensure the validity of your results. Testing in your specific experimental conditions is recommended.
What support is available if I encounter issues with the antibody in my experiments?
If you encounter any issues with the antibody, our technical support team is readily available to assist you. We offer comprehensive troubleshooting guides, detailed product datasheets, and personalized support to help you optimize your experiments and resolve any challenges. Our goal is to ensure that you achieve the best possible results with our antibody.
