Product Overview

Description

Mouse anti-human glial fibrillary acidic protein antibody, clone GF-05 can recognize human glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP). GFAP is an intermediate filament protein of 432 amino acids. Mouse anti-human glial fibrillary acidic protein antibody, clone GF-05, can recognize neurofilaments of about 38-45 kDa in western blot. Mouse anti-human glial fibrillary acidic protein antibody, clone GF-05 is also reactive in ELISA, the antigen coating concentration is 5μg/ml, and may react with GFAP of other species. Mutations in GFAP gene may cause Alexander disease (ALXDRD), a rare neurological disease affecting infants, is characterized by myelin failure leading to early death.
