Description
CaMKII is composed of multiple isoforms, which are derived from four closely related gene products. Alpha, beta, gamma and delta have different but overlapping expression patterns.
Human anti-CaMK II inhibitor alpha antibody detects mouse calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II alpha (CaMK II alpha), which is activated by calcium ions (Ca2 +) and Ca2 +/calmodulin complex (CaM) The serine/threonine kinase. CaMK II is expressed in glutamatergic excitatory neurons and constitutes the main postsynaptic density protein. It is very important for the regulation of synaptic transmission, and may play a role in learning and memory.
