Description

Neurons are highly interconnected, and it is very difficult to obtain individual cells from neuronal tissues such as the brain and spinal cord. It is more difficult to isolate intact cells from frozen neuronal tissue. Due to these limitations, single-cell RNA-seq is being replaced by single-nucleus-seq. Isolated nuclei are widely used in various experiments, such as FACS, single nucleus analysis (such as RNA-seq and ATAC-seq), immunofluorescence staining, cell cycle and apoptosis studies.

Features

Traditional methods of isolating single nuclei from neuronal tissue are relatively tedious and time-consuming, and typically have low yields due to the difficulty in removing contaminating myelin and other cellular components. This kit is specifically designed to solve problems with simple, fast and effective protocols. A highly purified single nucleus can be obtained in about 30 minutes. Compared to traditional methods, the kit requires much less starting material and can handle a wide range of sample volumes (1-25 mg).
