Description
MBP belongs to the family of myelin basic proteins. The typical MBP subtype (isoform 4-isoform 14) is the most abundant protein component in the myelin membrane of the central nervous system. They have an effect on its formation and stability. Smaller subtypes may play an important role in the remyelination of exfoliated axons in multiple sclerosis. The non-classical MBP subtypes (isoform 1-isoform 3/Golli-MBPs) may preferentially play a role in early brain development before myelination. They may be part of the transcription complex and may also be involved in the development of T cells and nerve cells. signal path. This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against the full length of human MBP, capable of identifying multiple MBP subtypes.
