Description
Rat anti-Mouse Interleukin-6 antibody, recognizes mouse IL-6 (interleukin-6), which is a multifunctional secreted by activated T cells, macrophages, endothelial cells, fibroblasts and osteoblasts Pro-inflammatory cytokines are the primary acute inducers of the phase response in the liver. IL-6 signals through the membrane-bound receptor complex, which is composed of the ligand-bound IL-6Ra chain (CD126) and the signal transduction component gp130 (CD130). IL-6 can also stimulate cells expressing gp130 through soluble IL-6R. IL-6 has been shown to stimulate B cell differentiation and subsequent immunoglobulin production, promote hybridoma growth and regulate bone metabolism and stimulate energy mobilization in muscle and adipose tissue. The rat anti-mouse Interleukin-6 antibody, clone 6B4 IGH 54 can be used to neutralize the activity of 50pg/ml recombinant mouse IL-6>95% in the functional assay.
