Description
Recombinant chicken interleukin-1 beta. Recombinant chicken interleukin-1 (IL-1) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine, which is secreted by many different cell types that act on a variety of target cells and produces multiple effects. The biological properties of IL-1 include induction of B cell proliferation, binding to IL-2 to stimulate T cell proliferation and fibroblasts to produce collagenase and prostaglandin. IL-1 is also responsible for triggering the acute phase response of the liver and is involved in cytokine network and vascular endothelial activation. Recombinant chicken interleukin-1 (PAP002) induces corticosterone secretion in vivo
