Description
Transcription factors form a trimeric complex with OCT4 on DNA and control the expression of many genes involved in embryonic development, such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206. It is essential for early embryogenesis and the pluripotency of embryonic stem cells. May act as a switch for neuron development. The downstream SRRT target mediates the promotion of neural stem cell self-renewal. By counteracting the activity of proneural protein, it keeps nerve cells undifferentiated and inhibits neuron differentiation. Our SOX2 ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of human SOX2 in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant. The density of the color is directly proportional to the amount of SOX2 captured from the sample.
