Handling Advice
-First try to dissolve a small amount of peptide in water or buffer. The more charged residues on the peptide, the higher its solubility in aqueous solutions.
-If the peptide cannot be dissolved, try using an organic solvent, such as DMSO, and dilute with water or buffer.
-Any solvent considered must be compatible with your assay. If the peptide does not dissolve and you need to recover it, please freeze-dry to remove the solvent.
-Gentle heating and sonication can effectively help the peptide to dissolve. If the solution is turbid or gelled, the peptide may be in suspension instead of being dissolved.
-Peptides containing cysteine are easily oxidized, so they should be prepared in solution before use.
