inquiryDescription
GCaMP6f, a type of GCaMP protein, is composed of three structures: cpGFP protein, CaM (calmodulin), and M13 peptide. When calcium ions are present, CaM and M13 combine to cause the conformation of cpGFP protein and enhance the fluorescence signal. . It is used to indicate the Ca signal activity in cells in experiments, and is also called GeCI (genetically encoded calcium indicator). GCaMP6 is a new generation of GCaMP protein, and its calcium indicator function reaches or exceeds the commonly used chemical calcium indicator. It has three commonly used subtypes, 6s, 6f and 6m. Among them, the binding force for calcium ions is 6s>6m>6f, so 6f dissociates fastest and is suitable for high-frequency signal indication.
