CNS Seizure Assay

Creative Biolabs is a leading company in the neuroscience industry that offers a wide range of assays for neurological disorders. In recent years, there has been a growing demand for assays that can accurately predict seizures in humans. Seizures are a common neurological disorder that affects millions of people worldwide, and there is a need for accurate assays that can detect seizures in vitro. To address this need, Creative Biolabs has developed a CNS Seizure Assay that uses human iPSC-derived CNS neurons on an MEA platform. This assay offers several advantages over traditional assays and has the potential to revolutionize the way seizures are studied and treated.

CNS Seizure Assay Capabilities

The CNS Seizure Assay developed by Creative Biolabs is a cutting-edge assay that uses human iPSC-derived CNS neurons on an MEA platform to accurately predict seizures in vitro. The MEA platform consists of an array of microelectrodes that can detect changes in electrical activity in neurons. The human iPSC-derived CNS neurons used in this assay are a more physiologically relevant model for studying seizures than traditional cell lines, as they better mimic the complex circuitry of the human brain.

The CNS Seizure Assay can be used to screen potential antiepileptic drugs, identify novel targets for drug development, and investigate the mechanisms underlying seizures. It can also be used to study the effects of various factors on seizures, such as changes in ion channel activity, synaptic plasticity, and inflammation.

Human iPSC-derived CNS Cells

Creative Biolabs CNS cells are derived from integration-free iPSCs under well-defined neural induction conditions. We provide a scalable source of cells from healthy/control and patient/disease state donors for epilepsy research and drug discovery. Our CNS cells range from healthy donors to patients with Alzheimer's or Huntington's disease - including specific mutational variants.

  • Human iPSC derived stem cells from healthy donors
  • Human iPSC derived stem cells from patient donors
  • Human iPSC derived astrocytes
  • Human iPSC derived microglia
  • Human iPSC derived neurons

Our Advantages

At Creative Biolabs, we have several advantages in developing effective therapeutics for seizure disorders using our CNS seizure assay.

  • Human iPSC-derived CNS neurons, which enable us to study seizures in a human-relevant system, allowing for more accurate and efficient drug discovery and development.
  • MEA platform, which enable real-time monitoring of electrical activity in the neurons, providing a high-resolution readout of the electrical activity and enabling accurate monitoring of seizures.

In conclusion, Creative Biolabs has developed a highly sensitive and reproducible CNS seizure assay that enables accurate and efficient study of seizures. We are committed to providing personalized and comprehensive support to our clients, from assay development and optimization to data analysis and interpretation.
