ADME & DMPK

ADME is an acronym for Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion, and DMPK is an acronym for Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics. These processes influence and determine the blood and tissue levels of almost all molecules in the body, including exogenous drugs/chemicals. ADME and DMPK together form the basis of pharmacokinetics and pharmacology, they describe the concentration, absorption and distribution of a drug in the body over time, characterize the performance and pharmacological activity of the drug, and predict the dose, curative effect and possible side effects. With many years of experience, Creative Biolabs has become a leading company in the field of biological research and drug testing, whether through classical bioanalytical methods and mass spectrometry or more advanced and complex models and approaches, we offer corresponding services and provide stable, reproducible data and pharmacokinetic profiles.

Some of our ADME & DMPK services are as follows:

Brain Tissue Binding Assay

Only free drugs can reach the target tissue through passive diffusion through the membrane, combine with the target to exert their curative effect and undergo subsequent metabolism and excretion processes. Brain tissue proteins can affect drug's steady-state volume of distribution and drug half-life by binding to the drug, thereby affecting the therapeutic goals and reducing the curative effect. Creative Biolabs offers brain tissue binding assays for our clients by common means, such as equilibrium dialysis of brain homogenates and buffered brain slices, saving you from complicated and time-consuming work, and providing stable and reproducible results.

BBB Penetration Assessment

The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a highly selective semipermeable boundary composed of endothelial cells, astrocytes, pericytes and a series of tightly linked proteins. The therapeutic potential of a neural drug candidate is not only related to its pharmacological target and biochemical activity, but also to its effective dose when reaching the target. The ability of drugs to penetrate the blood-brain barrier is an important evaluation criterion in the development of neuropharmaceuticals, and it also directly determines whether enough effective molecules can cross the barrier to achieving a curative effect. At Creative Biolabs, we offer professional and first-class BBB penetration assessment with our cutting-edge technology and years of experience.

Receptor Occupancy (RO) Assay

Measuring the receptor occupancy (RO) of a biotherapeutic agent bound to its pharmacological target has emerged as a critical component and an important part of the analysis of drug pharmacokinetics during Euro pharmaceutical development. It determines the minimum biological effect level of biotherapeutics to predict optimal dosage and evaluate drug safety. Thanks to our professional R&D team, Creative Biolabs offers reliable and advanced RO assay services and provides you with reliable, robust and reproducible RO relationships and duration data.

Microdialysis Services

Microdialysis is a minimally invasive sampling technique based on the mechanism of osmotic pressure, which can accurately measure the concentration of free analytes in the extracellular fluid of almost any tissue continuously. It can monitor the real-time concentration and distribution of free drugs in selected areas, detect the instantaneous changes caused by drug delivery, and infer the biochemical process and drug behavior in tissue. Creative Biolabs now assist the project of our global clients with our professional and reliable microdialysis services and repeatable data.

Neurotoxicity Assay

Neurotoxicity represents the negative and adverse effects of various biological and chemical substances on the nervous system. Since neurotoxicity tends to have no instantaneous effect, it is often difficult to be detected. A late Identification of safety issues caused by neurotoxicity in the drug development process not only results in the waste of time and money, but also poses a great risk to patients in the clinical stage. Thanks to our advanced and comprehensive technology platform, Creative Biolabs assess neuronal responses to drugs using neurotoxicity kits and classical neuronal growth models, as well as other approaches to monitor various sensitive biological indicators and perform neurotoxicity assays.

Nephrotoxicity Assay

Nephrotoxicity, often known as kidney toxicity, is one of the leading reasons for drug failure in the new drug development process. The FDA recommended that novel drugs and biologics undergo in vitro nephrotoxicity tests before being studied in vivo in animal models. Creative Biolabs is a professional Contract Research Organization (CRO) that conducts in-depth research on kidney toxicity processes to provide cutting-edge assays for drug discovery and research.

Neuropathology/Neurohistology Assay

In Vitro, In Vivo & Ex Vivo Electrophysiology Assay

The ADME test can determine the distribution, absorption and metabolism of the drug at an early stage, so as to facilitate the estimation of drug efficacy and applicable dose, and greatly reduce the cost and risk of toxicology, pharmacology and drug development. With years of experience, Creative Biolabs is a leading company in biological technology with strict quality standards. We are convinced that our position as an end-to-end company providing high-quality ADME & DMPK services gives us a significant advantage in helping clients around the world.
