Features

DRD3-tGFP_SH-SY5Y contains SH-SY5Y cells stably expressing human dopaminergic receptor D3 (DRD3), labeled with tGFP protein at the N-terminus. The Creative Biolabs DRD3 redistribution cell line is designed to detect potential agonists/antagonists against DRD3, modulate the activation of dopaminergic receptor D3 and the following redistribution processes within the cell. This cell line will allow image analysis of compound-induced stimuli. The use of dopamine as a DRD3 agonist in high-content analysis (HCA) validates this highly reproducible measurement.

Assay Description

The D3 dopamine receptor internalization analysis from Creative Biolabs allows the analysis of compounds, or their ability to modulate DRD3 receptor activation and subsequent redistribution processes within the cell. When the ligand binds to DRD3, it activates the G protein, which is internalized in large, high-strength vesicles. The assay has measured fluorescence DRD3 redistribution by using image analysis algorithms by increasing the fluorescence around the nucleus. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring of the D3 dopamine receptor redistribution process in high-throughput screening.
