Description
In the human body, the vasoactive peptides ET-1, ET-2, and ET-3 belong to the endothelin family.Mammalian cells have so far yielded the identification of two endothelin receptor subtypes, designated EDNRA (ETA) and EDNRB (ETB). Vascular smooth muscle and stromal tissues both have high levels of the EDNRA receptor (ETA), which has a significantly stronger affinity for ET-1 than ET-3.
