Description
With the prior consent of family members, immortalized human skeletal muscle cells of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (RCDMD) were isolated from a 7-year-old patient at the Infant Rehabilitation Hospital in Santiago, Chile. Immortalized human skeletal muscle cells from Duchenne muscular dystrophy (RCDMD) are immortalized by reprogramming cell culture conditions using 10% (v/v) cell-free conditioned medium (UCHT1-CM). Unlike other muscle cell lines, immortalized human skeletal muscle cells from Duchenne muscular dystrophy (RCDMD) lack dystrophin expression. Immortalized human skeletal muscle cells from Duchenne muscular dystrophy (RCDMD) can express ionic currents when exposed to different media.
