Product Overview

Description

Kv12.2 is a protein that is expressed by the KCNH3 gene in humans and is a member of the potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H 3. Both the cerebral cortex and the hippocampus have high expression levels of Kv12.2 (ELK2, KCNH3) channels. Hippocampal neurons' excitability and synaptic plasticity vary when KCNH3 expression is altered, suggesting that Kv12.2 might be a promising target for cognitive improvement.
