Description
The Neural Tissue Dissociation Kit, which makes sure the GLAST epitope is kept during the isolation process, is a part of the Starter Kit for Astrocyte Isolation. Rat or mouse astrocytes that are positive for GLAST can be isolated using the Anti-GLAST (ACSA-1) MicroBead kit.
The extracellular epitope of the transmembrane glycoprotein GLAST that is exclusive to astrocytes is recognized by the antibody ACSA-1 (Astrocyte Surface Antigen-1).
