Description
In neurons (A current) and cardiomyocytes (Ito), the voltage-sensitive potassium channel hKv4.2/KCHiP2 quickly inactivates. They cause the initial repolarization of the cardiac action potential. The blocking of this channel may raise the risk of arrhythmia due to their critical involvement in regulating the trajectory of action potentials in diverse areas of the heart.
