Description

AT120 antibody recognizes all tau isoforms. AT120 produces abundant staining of NFT, dystrophic neurites in plaques, and dispersed staining of neuropil (neuropil threads). The monoclonal antibodies can be used to detect tau and abnormally phosphorylated tau in brain extracts and in unconcentrated cerebrospinal fluid.

Lanes 1, 3 and 5: PHF-tau isolated according to Greenberg and Davies (1990). Lanes 2, 4 and 6: Normal affinity purified human tau according to Mercken et al. (1992a). Lane 7: Molecular weight markers. Lanes 1 and 2 were developed using AT8, lanes 3 and 4, using AT120 and lanes 5 and 6, using Tau-1 monoclonal antibody.
