Description
Our three-dimensional human HUVECs angiogenesis model is co-cultured with gfp-labeled human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and rfp-labeled Sertoli cells. The formation of GFP-positive capillary-like tubules can be monitored in real time under a fluorescence microscope throughout the entire experimental process.
The design of the 3D model is that test materials, namely compounds, conditioned media or tissue explants, can be added to the system at any time, ranging from the beginning of angiogenesis to late angiogenesis. Under the inverted fluorescence microscope, the effect on the formation of tubules (tubule length, number of branches, etc.) can be monitored throughout the process.

Handling Advice
Growing cells: Growing cell cultures should be checked on receipt using an inverted microscope. Immediately check the cell density upon arrival for any obvious defects. If the cell density is too high (more than 80% confluent) subculture the cells (harvest and reseed) immediately.
