Description
The majority of nicotinic receptors are located in the muscles of adult mammals as 1/1// receptors. At the skeletal muscle joints, these muscle nACh receptors are involved in fast synaptic transmission, and when they are activated, muscles contract. The safe counter-screening of drugs for potential negative effects on this nicotinic receptor subtype can be done using this cell line.
