Product Overview

Description

The initiation and repetition of neuronal firing by axonal potential as well as the contraction-stimulation coupling of cardiomyocytes are both regulated by the voltage-gated sodium channel subtype Nav1.1. Antiepileptic medications may target Nav1.1 to cause side effects, while centrally active local anaesthetics may also target Nav1.1 to do the same. It was found in the cell bodies of central neurons and cardiomyocytes.
