Description
NaV1.7 is expressed at significant levels in nociceptive neurons along the recognised A-fibers and C fibres, and it is equally distributed in the cell bodies of large- and small-diameter DRG neurons. Both the centre of the superficial layer of the spinal dorsal horn and the periphery of free nerve terminals in the epidermis contain NaV1.7.
