Product Overview

Description

The mouse anti-rat CD68 clone ED1 recognizes the rat ED1 antigen, a strongly glycosylated protein of about 90-110 KDa, also known as rat CD68. The ED1 antigen is expressed on most macrophage populations and monocytes, and is considered a pan-macrophage marker in rats. ED1 is mainly expressed on the lysosomal membrane and slightly expressed on the cell surface. The expression of ED1 antigen is mainly cytoplasmic, and the results of flow cytometry can be improved by using membrane permeabilization procedures (such as Leucoperm) before staining.
