Description

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is a clear, colorless fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. The main function of cerebrospinal fluid is to cushion the brain and act as a shock absorber for the central nervous system. In addition, it circulates nutrients and chemicals filtered from the blood and removes waste products from the brain. Examination of fluid removed by lumbar puncture can be used to diagnose many neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and neurosarcoidosis.

How old are the mice that you collect from?

Typically we provide gender pooled sample, so we don't select the mouse by age. If you have a specific requirement for age, we can match the mouse.
