Parkinson's disease (PD) Modeling Tools

The major pathological changes in PD include the degeneration and death of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra and the misfolding and accumulation of Lewy bodies composed of α-synuclein. There are currently two mainstream PD models, one based on neurotoxins that damage dopaminergic neurons and the other based on α-synuclein.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) modeling tools

ALS is an adult-onset neurodegenerative disease, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease/motor neuron disease (MND), characterized by axonal degeneration leading to the destruction of nerve endings, resulting in the progressive loss of motor neurons. Our ALS modeling tools use AAV vectors to express TDP-43 via temporal vein injection and stereotactic brain injection to simulate some ALS symptoms and pathological features.
