Description

Mouse anti-Rabbit GAPDH antibody, clone 6C5 can recognize glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), which is a multifunctional protein of approximately 36 kDa, whose main function is to bind to inorganic phosphate and nicotinamide adenine, Catalyzes the reversible oxidative phosphorylation of glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate. Dinucleotide (NAD). This reaction is an important energy production step in carbohydrate metabolism.
GAPDH has also been shown to translocate to the nucleus under a variety of stressors, most of which are related to oxidative stress, thereby mediating cell death.
