Description

Established in the mid-1990s as an in vitro growth cell culture of the GL261 tumor, which was induced in C57BL/6 mice by intracranial injection of 3-methylcholanthrene in 1939, and then maintained by continuous transplantation in the same strain of mice. It is described in the literature that this cell carries TP53 and KRAS mutations.
