Product Overview

Description

Rhodopsin is a protein in the mammalian retina that is responsible for the light sensitivity of rod cells, which in turn are responsible for vision at low light levels (1-4). It's a bit surprising that rhodopsin protein turned out to be a typical member of the seven transmembrane. Rhodopsin is the protein responsible for the photosensitivity of rod cells in the mammalian retina, and rod cells are responsible for vision at low light levels ( 1-4). Somewhat surprisingly, rhodopsin protein turned out to be a typical member of the seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily.
