Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-TRPM4 BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 1040-1215 (cytoplasmic C-terminus) of human TrpM4 (also known as Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 4, Calcium-activated nonselective cation channel 1, Long transient receptor potential channel 4, Melastatin-4, Melastatin-like 2, LTrpC4 and MLS2s, accession number Q8TD43)
Rat: 81% identity (130/161 amino acids identical)
Mouse: 78% identity (124/158 amino acids identical)
<50% identity with TrpM5
