Description

DMEM is an improvement of the basic medium Eagle (BME) with four times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins. The preparation first contains 1000 mg/L of glucose and is used to culture embryonic mouse cells. DMEM 1.0 g/L glucose is suitable for most types of cells, including human, monkey, hamster, rat, mouse, chicken and fish cells. Low glucose formula is used for anchorage-dependent cells.

DMEM 1.0 g/L glucose can be used in different cell lines as well as primary cells, such as fibroblasts.
