Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-ANK1 BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 1-1881 (full-length) of human Ankyrin-R (also known as Ankyrin-1, Erythrocyte Ankyrin, ANK-1, ANK and rCG_43073, accession number P16157)
Mouse: 90% identity (1678/1858 amino acids identical)
Rat: 74% identity (1329/1788 amino acids identical)
>50% identity with Ankyrin-B and Ankyrin-G
