Product Overview

Description

Calcium (Ca2+) signaling in neurons is essential for cell signaling. It defines the cell's ability to release neurotransmitters to regulate intracellular signaling pathways. Calbindin 2 (also called calretinin) is one of the Ca2+ binding proteins involved in Ca2+ signaling, which can promote the diffusion of cytoplasmic Ca2+ without interfering with Ca2+ signaling. Secretagogin is a protein encoded by the SCGN gene in humans. The encoded protein is a secreted calcium-binding protein found in the cytoplasm. It is related to calmodulin D-28K and calmodulin. It is believed that the protein is related to calcium flux stimulated by potassium chloride and cell proliferation. This protein plays an important role in releasing the stress hormone corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) before the stress process in the brain can be achieved.
