Product Overview

Description

Vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) is a non-segmented negative-strand RNA virus in the virus genus of the Rhabdoviridae family. The genome of VSV is approximately 11 kb-12 kb nucleotides, which encode nucleoprotein (N), phosphoprotein (P), matrix protein (M), glycoprotein (G) and large polymerase protein (L). Improved VSV has been widely used as an anterograde tracer.
Glycoprotein (G) is an important component of VSV anterograde synapse. When G (VSV-ΔG) is removed, it will lose the ability to cross synapses, but it can still express foreign genes in high abundance. Therefore, VSV-ΔG can be used to quickly obtain a complete image of neuron projection distribution, and can also be used for anterograde single synapse tracking.

Creative Biolabs has established a recombinant VSV platform based on our experienced employees and advanced molecular biology technology, and can provide VSV services to promote VSV-based neuron tracking research.

Applications
●Multi-synaptic tracking from the periphery to the center of the brain or from lower to higher brain regions.
●Track the neural network in the disease or injury model.
● Changes in neural networks during neural development.
