Product Overview
Description
When collagen from animal skin and bones is partially hydrolyzed, a combination of peptides and proteins called gelatin is created. Leukaemia inhibitory factor (LIF) is needed for growing mouse ES cells on a layer of gelatin used as the extracellular matrix (for support). Human ES/iPS cells need to be pretreated with gelatin before being cultured on a feeder layer of mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs).
